How can philosophers, anthropologists, paleontologists, biologists and theologians over time come to a kind of area-dye nuanced understanding or reasonable set of claims possibly about human origins? That's a collective group project. It takes time. So I mean it's an aspiration that seems to be in principle absolutely necessary and Songgan is showing how this has got to become. He's suggesting there's a natural corollary to development of doctrine that could happen in the university as you integrate the developmental knowledge that transpires in different disciplines into a greater whole.
