A Summer's Reading by Alexander Hemon

A summer's reading is set on the Lower East Side of New York back in the 1940s, when it was a mostly Jewish immigrant neighborhood. The character George Doyanovich implies that the character comes from what was Yugoslavia, back then. We'll talk more about a summer's reading and about Malamud later in the program.
