How Tardigrades Dry Out Slowly?
Tardigrades are losing 90 to 95% of their water content. They can stay in that dry state for years or even decades. When you place them back in water, they sort of rehydrate and reanimate. And pretty soon you'll be seeing them running around and feeding and reproducing like nothing happens to them.
