A wall leans slightly, it leans. That means it's not perfectly vertical. So the top of the wall is in by maybe about five to 10 centimeters. I realized I couldn't fit shelves in that alcove because of the way that the wall leaned. It was Kate Billington who suggested that he use a certain type of shelf fitting.
