How Did They Learn From the New York City Study?
Study looked at pedestrian and bicyclist safety in New York. 7% of the pedestrians who got hit were using an electronic device. Alcohol, not surprisingly, played a factor for 15% of injured pedestrians. 11% of injured bicyclists had alcohol in their system.
