The Evolution of Attachment

Early experiences in childhood are important for influencing the development and behavior later in life. Bowlby really believe that attachment had an evolutionary component. It aids in survival. And we're designed to do one of two things, survive and procreate. The propensity to make strong emotional bonds is a basic component of human nature.
