California's Solar Panels Are Ending Up in Land Fills
The economics of recycling solar panels just isn't there. A study by the national renewabl energy laboratory estimated that it costs about one to two dollars per solar panel to send it to a land fill. To recycle that solar panel, that'll take 20 to 30 dollars per panel, and you'll only get two to fouro as back in recycled material. The bottom line is that california's solar panels are ending up in land fills.
