The Pros and Cons of Co-Interventions

There are two approaches. You can either protocolize every co-intervention or you can let decisions be made in usual care. I think that there are pros and cons to both. People are often willing to have equipoise about one question, but when you protocolize ten parts of the procedure and neither of those don't look like what they do in everyday practice, you're going to have a hard time conducting that trial. The most impactful aspect of this study which didn't show a benefit of something that I hope would work is that I now have at least a little bit of liberty to use.
