Are You College and Career Ready Equivalent in Higher Education?
I don't want students to be worse off for having attempted higher education than they would be had they not done anything at all. I think that that notion of saying a for profit institution has a role to play or let's not say for profit institutions in general who are focused on that niche is an important role to play. They also went off the rails as sort of Julie said before, when they went from focusing on preparing people for jobs to offering credentials and degrees in fields where they couldn't necessarily do that in more liberal arts fields. And we just have not gotten there as a policy community. In the meantime, we need to answer better. Is this harmful? But too often in conversations
