The Future of Orthodox Congregations
Miriam Akkamun-Somber, age 26, has been running one of Paris's only modern orthodox congregations along with her husband. She went to an American rabbinical program for women to qualify in effect as a rabbi able to serve in orthodox spaces. France still has one of the biggest Jewish communities outside Israel or America home to some 450,000 Jews.
