I really feel that there's less of a gap between the way people talk online and the way they talk offline. I noticed it with my nephews and nieces. They use abbreviations. And yeah, they kind of talk in internet comments. What I'm more talking about is the inevitability that speaking face to face to a human that you have decided to have consented to speaking to can be different than engaging with a tweet in your mind.
