How to Make John Bay Songs Work

I love how sort of haunting this vocal is. I think Fatboy Slim sampled him at one point but he's written quite a few acapella songs that have ended up being used in different dance tracks. So... No, so my initial demo, the initial process was I found an acapella of it. Started working with that acapella just as a sort of proof of concept to see if it works. The issue with making different genre songs into John Bay songs is often the tempo so different that sometimes a vocal might sound way too fast But in this case I felt it was working really well. They may well be in different keys so yeah so I think at one point actually
