I Believe in Myself, I Write a Good Story
"I've worked so hard with my daughter to like give her praise, to help her and encourage her to talk about herself in a positive way," she said. "And I think it's just hard, you know, as a woman too, being out in the world and saying, 'I believe in myself' And part of that- Yes, we're taught that that's arrogant and selfish." She continued: "So there's like a personal struggle, there's a power struggle with culture and the patriarchy".
