Kia Stama's decision to confirm Jeremy Corbyn's permanent exclusion was a mistake. Those who left ended up in a problematic position and so did those who stay, says Helen Baker. Diane Abbott tried to remind people that it was Kia Stama who was the remainder of Labour over Corbyn although officially closer to where we've ended up. The art of leadership is partly managing the broad church to the benefit of the party because this broad church has proven to be right about some policy areas as Tory leaders have benefited at times from there being a broad church of their party.
