The New Habitat for Coastal Marine Creatures
Scientists have found some creatures that want to set up home on a garbage patch. These are traditionally coastal marine creatures, and now they've been found setting up home thousands of kilometres away from their natural habitat. So it's not like it's a good thing then that we've got these new habitats forming. You know, it could be a stepping stone for species to get to the wrong places,. Yeah, that is right. This isn't probably something that we should celebrate. It's an indication that coastal species can survive kind of far outside their comfort zone. But that also means that they could jump to new places and do lots of damage as invasive species. That's sort of a worrying development
