Henderson: H2O plus CO2 gives H2CO3, which then arrows both ways. So you have it of acute rise and CO2, it drives it to the right and you end up with bicarbonate. That's not a renal compensation. And I always point out, why do you think we have acute compensation for rastioreacidosis and acute compensation for RASKALOSIS as opposed to the chronic compensation? He says if you raise CO2, you push the reaction to the left or to right or whichever way you're looking. Henderson: Can you help me understand that a little more?
