The Origins of Transhumanism

Eugenics is a big part of the origin of transhumanism. Futurism celebrated modernity and aimed to liberate Italy from its past by focusing on dynamic forward thinking art and ideas. These guys wanted to close universities and museums. So folding in that evolution idea, which comes from Catholicism anyway, with actual Catholicism, you do start to see the religious shape more explicitly. And again, the Christian religious shape of these disappointing ideas, I think.
