The super highway brings back the notion of the river, or lake as a mode of transportation. But if you put too many cars on the highway at once, you get a traffic jam. So it turns from a place of convenience to a place of inconvenience. Anything that a human does or makes any innovation is a technology that has these kind of revolutionary consequences.
