The number of mutations in a specific cancer is an important factor in just how effectively we can harness the immune system. Historically, highly mutated cancers have been a bad prognostic sign for patients. If you only have 10 mutations in your tumor, the likelihood of those mutations being able to stimulate T cells is low. The more mutations your body can recognize the better.
