Is it possible that poetic ways of describing those get closer to some kind of truth for those areas that science can't cover? My favorite poet is W.B. Yates, notorious mystic. Obviously, I have no sympathy, whatever, with his belief in fairies and things like that. But I resonate to his poetry. What's he feeling there when you're reading a W.b. Yates poem and you say you resonate? It's hard for me to explain. And so as a scientist, I want to know what is actually true about the universe. They are true for these subjective, what's going on in his own mind, yes.
