The Problem With How to Date Quinolone Breakpoints
When I was at UCLA, we made our own panels. And so we made up a drug called oral cephalosporins that we reported on urine isolates with the common thing. And then we had a different drug called cephasalin that we reported with the systemic breakpoint. And it worked out really well. But the only way to do that is if you like home grow the whole system, but with it's really hard to have one drug tested and have that one result report into two different fields. That was a nightmare.
