The Explosion of the London Ship in 1660s

This year's work is to get down to the bottom timbers of the ship. The boat lies at about 20 metres on the Thames and has been discovered in 2007. Divers are using dendrochronological analysis and perhaps really a carbon-14 dating just to try and help us understand a little bit more of the story. So by having a small sample of timber our scientists can begin to understand when that tree stops growing.
