The Refaean in Deuteronomy 3

The text goes out of its way to kind of emphasize how victorious these guys were. We don't know anything about this eriot King of Elisar, some ancient Jewish commentaries in the Targum say that eriot is a name that means tall. And if you hop over to Deuteronomy and you read about the Refaean in Deuteronomy 2, 20, it says it is also counted as a land of Refaean. The Ammonites called them Zemzumim, a people great and mighty and tall as the Anakin.
