The Importance of Continuing to Practice Medicine

I think that the fact that I still lace up and walk through the sliding doors of my emergency department between six and eight times a month usually on the weekends is a part of what keeps me in touch with the problems patients face, where the system is breaking down. Most importantly I continue to feel the doctors burden. My continual interface with that problem set is what gave me the qualification to write a problem statement and found a company in the first place.
