Using Uniform Price Auctions to Procure Power
Uniform price forma is a very popular format for selling all sorts of the two examples that are really famous and been very well studied. In many liberalized electricity markets, the uniform price auction is used to procure power. It's a pretty dangerous strategy, because people can really mess up where kind of the price should be. So when we sell spectrum, we typically avoid using a uniform price, sealed bit format as i described. And sometimes there can be so many possible packages it may not be possible to figure out what you're trying to do.
