The W.S. Copeland Award for Journalism

The Virginia Press Association for 50 years gave out an award called the W.S. Copeland Award. The Richmond Times Dispatch reported that Copeland had used his position as a newspaper editor to virulently oppose racial equality. Within a week, the VPA changed the name of their award. I'm curious to see if the science fiction and fantasy community will be so responsive.
