How to Be a Successful Speaker on a Panel

Don't put all your books in front of you, like you're building fortifications against the audience. One of the things to remember is that this is a very small community and that they will talk to each other. Don't ever say, I don't know why I'm on this panel. Because that will get back to programming and they'll say, well, you know, you failed at entertainment 101. And if you are an awful person, they will also remember that.
