Brigham Young's Progressive View on Divorces
Brigham Young was quite liberal when granting divorces to women. Although men were almost always rewarded custody of children, Young looked down on men who requested divorces. He said quote: When a man married a wife, he took her for better or for worse. And if she shouldn't bed and laid in it until noon, he must bear it.
