The Importance of Emotional Connection in Editing
Walter merge was a huge advocate for you know just modernizing just everything right but he worked I mean I think he did THX one one three eight with George Lucas when he was in college right. He said so the technical is important but he talks a lot about his priorities in edit are emotional first and technical second for 100% might even be third because if you're not editing from a place of emotional connection how the fuck is the audience going to connect with anything that that you're doing right? You have to put yourself as best as you can as an audience member, says Walter merge.
