Recovery From a Ransom Attack
Criminals are lying when they say you can recover quickly from an attack. They just enter this key, send us the bit coin and you're good. It's going to take longer than that. The side effect of the wave of successful attacks has also meant a wave of pay outs for siber insurance. Rates have gone through the roof, five to ten times increases in fees for for insurance these days. Maybe we should lock down cybe security has evolved, and siber insurance along with it. I'm staying away from the word hacker these days. These are crimes. And ransom were is losing effectiveness in some respects.
