Planet Money got together five economists with different worldviews. They all agreed on policy recommendations that were plausibly great, a bunch of them. It also reminds me of the idea of adversarial collaborations,. Two people that are experts who strongly disagree will actually work together to write a paper and then either come to consensus or at least explain why they disagree each other.
