Do It Authentically?

Politicians get a bad rap because we only hear about the bad stuff, but there are far more people who get into that line of work with sincere and honest commitment to make where they live better. So my first piece of advice is, do it authentically. Public service from the standpoint of an elected official should be a service to the public. And you ought to come by it honestly... Your moral compass is very important. Ways that get involved is volunteer.
