The Evolution of Existential Risk
I am not sure it's going to be good for the AI debate to have this be more mainstream and to have like regular Joe, MSNBC and Fox News and CNN watchers have opinions about AI policy. Like I think that'll make it a bit much stupider. But what if it turns into an issue like China where there's a competition between the two parties to seem more hawkish on it? Because that doesn't seem like totally out of the realm of possibility right now.
