i have this problem of defending the proposition that this is not a systemically races country unless i am willing to talk about these two realities. The police are going to behave differently in a community where the violent crime rate is way higher than it is in the neighborhood across town. People will have difficulty getting trained as physicians or as nuclear physicists and so forth in the same proportions as another group, if you have differences in cognive ability. Absent those kinds of coming to grips without reality, the charge of systemic racism is going to persist. It has to be conjoined with the moral obligation to judge people as individuals. We've also got to passionately affirm the american ideal of treating people as individuals
