The Importance of Tutoring

Aristocratic tutoring was not focused on measurables. It usually involved a paid adult tutor spending significant time with a young child or teenager, instructing them but also engaging them in discussions. Some do all of their formal learning this way, such as John Stuart Mill. Albert Einstein had a number of math-focused tutors outside of school.
