Right now, Thwaites contributes about 4% of the total global sea level rise. But at the end of the century, the pace of sea level rise that's being contributed by Thwaites will be a bigger fraction than 4%. This is a trillion dollar problem in the future, but we might be able to address it with a well spent tens of billions right now.
