The New Secret Thing That You Don't Know

The core of the story that God entered into a special relationship with the people of Israel and then maintained that even when they were not faithful to him is true. The Old Testament acknowledges that there were, there were Jews who were not faithful. And so it's not anything we need to be afraid of. It's just, it's just a reality. But what we don't want to do is exaggerate it and make it and pick and choose the evidence to make it sound like this was normative at one point.
