In the japanese market, it produces passive passivity. Unlike anything i'd ever experienced because of the language barrier. Western models don't speak japanese and most japanese people do not speak english. The solution is that every agency has like a manager whose job is also to drive the models to their castings. And then clients talk in japanese, and the model stance there, and then the manager introduces the next one. So it's like just a very weird, kind of a passive experience....
