The Crucified Jesus

Jesus is left alone to bear the weight of this cross. Those who pass by derided him, wagging their heads and saying, you who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself. The robbers who are crucified with him also reviled him in the same way. It's as if Matthew says, the whole world has turned on Jesus. And all three groups of people join in the humiliation and mocking of Jesus.
