The Importance of Efficient Food Production
I value the continued sustenance of the biosphere as we know it way more than I value animal welfare. There's all kinds of, you know, conventional agriculture that is tremendously injurious to the environment among other problems. The science on that question is kind of inconclusive because it depends a lot on which specific food you're talking about and which specific eaters you'retalking about. But there's a strong scientific argument to be made that like the more efficient the food production is, the better it probably is for the environment in most situations. And that could include factory animal farming that is unimaginably cruel, to animals.
