When you got to Mosul in March of 2003 as a commander of the 101st Airborne Division, were you skeptical of that entire enterprise? Oh, I developed that much earlier than getting to Mosul. We didn't actually arrive in Mosul until May, so we did the fight to Baghdad that started in late March. And frankly, what we did was implement what ultimately proved to be the right answer during the surge.
