If you do a lot of DNS calls, intentionally or intentionally, the thread pool might be saturated. It could be the case where all the threads in the thread pool are busy, looking up DNS which will block the thread pool from doing other DNS resolutions. Or even worse, asynchronous file I-O or other crypto operation or user defined CPU thread pool operations. Does that mean your application will get faster? Your back end willget faster? No. At the end of the day you have limited resources.
