The Role of Traditional Wingers in the 1990s and 2000s

Aaron Lennon was always on the outside of the opposition left back. Ben Chilwell, Reese James and Annie Robertson are all wing backs now or wing backs who you would just absolutely associate with being a traditional winger in the 90s and early 2000s. Someone like an Aaron Lennon at Tottenham or thinking about this before like a David Bentley someone who is in the sort of Trent Alexander-Arnold role it's completely kind of flipping on his head based on the year I think which is just really interesting to see.
