The Psychological Effect of Sharp Button Touch
With sharp buttons, the eye isn't corralled by the shape of the button. So as your eye follows the edges of the button, you'll reach that 90 degree angle and your eye tends to continue on this line instead of staying within that container. Whereas rounded buttons because the rounded your eye kind of follows that around and sees that shape easier. And I think that plays into when you're touching something, you don't want to touch something sharp. It's kind of interesting that we have this association between sharp things and sharp sounds.
