The Politics of Loyalty

There's a tendency that is power corrupts, but I don't accept the Marxist claim that every dominant group will exploit and oppress as much as it can. Most politics are about trying to navigate the competition among groups in such a way that everybody gets something of what they want. The goal of a just ruler of a just government is to try to understand what's important to what's most important to each group.
