The servants of Saul sought David at his house. Michal put a statue into his bed and covered it with David's clothes, leading Saul's men to believe that David was there sick and asleep in bed,. see 1 Samuel 19 verses 11 through 16. Here, we find his heart-tight shut. Then, yet another man will readily forgive his enemies but never pay his bills until the law forces him to do so. All too often such people are believed to be devout, but they in no way deserve this title.
