Ventral is like vents that open up. You don't feel trapped. The vents are open. You can breathe. And then dorsal is like down, shutting down. For some people, they may experience that as even dissociation if they're in extreme trauma of just the complete body shutdown. It's we want flexibility amongst them and be able to move from shut down to open up to, you know, run when you need to run.
