There's an interesting tension there, isn't there between epicness and the constraints that you need to be able to actually make something in that time? Absolutely. And it means you have to be really flexible. You know, you have to play the bad guy and the good guy. It's being able to play both of those roles. I love getting carried away with crazy ideas and pushing things as far as they'll go. But at the end of the day, you want the music to convey feeling and emotion to the listener.
