In this day and age, we need our phones because that's about the only way we can connect with people. When making a decision in those type of situations, people tend to employ two different strategies. We often base estimates on how easily we can remember similar events happening in the past. For example, you might think of how many times you've seen people getting pulled over by a police officer on a particular stretch of highway.
