What Do You Think African Governments Should Do With the SGR Experience?
The SGR is really a case study in what not to do for Chinese funded projects. I think they're out of the business of funding these multi-billion dollar infrastructure projects that will take 50 to 100 years to repay. African governments should beef up capacity on their side to guarantee that even when they're saddling projects with their own political and cronies demands, that those processes do not ultimately kill the commercial viability of projects.
